First…as you can see I changed the lay out again. I loved the beautiful dark wood but I couldn’t deal with that little pink flower marking the title of each of my posts… It bothered me a lot!

So, upon arriving in Philadelphia very, very late on June 24th…or June 25th by the time I actually got there… I unpacked, only to repack and head to the airport for my flight to Orlando, Florida for a mini-3 day vacation! Yes folks, you read correctly, I said VACATION, and for 3 days I had a very relaxing vacation.

We spent Sunday visiting family who live in Florida...

...And went out for Chicago style pizza.

Monday we spent the day at Epcot Center with the Bohush Clan, an excellent time!

We enjoyed lunch at the Rose and Crown Pub in "England"

My Dad's "Lunch"

We spent the rest of the day working our way around the "World"...actually it was more like wine tasting (and sake tasting) our way around the "world".

The family in "Morocco"

My cousin and her friend taking a break in "Japan"

The gardens in "Japan"

We had a nice family dinner in "China"

noodles with pork and chickenWe had a rather busy day but it was a lot of fun!

We spend the next (and final, for me) day at the resort my Aunt, Uncle and Cousin (pictured above) were staying. We lounged by the pool and grilled a fantastic dinner (along with some thunderstorms). For a three day vacation I have to say it was fantastic…that is until I had to board my flight home Wendesday morning at 9:30am and head up to St. Tikhons. Vacation to nonstop work in a short 3 hour flight!

This summer has been far from lazy! As soon as June hit, and I finished my awesome Archaeology of Death summer course, life has been pretty much nonstop! I spent two weeks in a field school program with the Cleveland Museum of Natural Science. Check out their blog and see the work that has been done on the Heckleman Site. http://brianredmondarchaeology.blogspot.com/

It was an excellent experience and I hope to join them again in the future. But maybe next time I will stay a little closer to the site, my 1 1/2 hour commute each way was a little tedious. Below are a few of the photos I took during the second week.

...Did I mention that it rained the second week? Better than being too hot! 🙂

On June 24th I packed up my trowel and gloves and drove 9 hours from the site to Philly for the next part of my summer adventure!

I’m making a come back…I rather miss this blog.
Hopefully I will have something interesting and creative to post weekly.

Stay Tuned.
